Role Summary/Purpose

Please note that we are flexible with the work location and will consider candidates all across Canada. The Wind MCE Specialized Technician is expected to travel and work in locations across Canada (and occasionally in the USA). He/She will be responsible for the inspection, repair and replacement of components and mechanical/electrical work specific to Wind Turbines.
Essential Responsibilities

The Wind MCE Specialized Technician will work in locations across Canada (and occasionally in the USA) and will be part of a team that will troubleshoot, repair and replace mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components on wind turbines. 

In addition, you will: 

·  Inspect, photograph and document component damage findings and assemble all associated paperwork as required to be posted for further action by Engineering.
·  Repair/replace components following guidelines provided by Engineering with locations both up tower and down tower. 
·  Help in all areas of site preparation (coordination of labor and materials), with minimal supervision.  
·  Document all work performed using computer based service reporting procedures. 
·  Communicate site status to engineering, customers, and management.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Ability and willingness to travel and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision. 
·  Has a valid driver's license. 
·  Has the ability to occasionally travel in the USA. 
·  Has the ability to work at height (up to 100m). 
·  Competitive score on technical aptitude written testing. 
·  Comprehensive writing skills to meet contractual reporting obligations, as required. 
·  High School /college Diploma.
