Role Summary/Purpose

As a member of GE Healthcare’s United States commercial legal team, Paralegal will play an important role as a strategic business partner on behalf of GE Healthcare in structuring, drafting, and advising commercial transactions and other advice in support of GE Healthcare’s United States Equipment, Services and Digital businesses.
Essential Responsibilities

Paralegal is responsible for the day-to-day activity of negotiating, structuring and drafting commercial contracts with GE Healthcare key strategic and corporate account customers. The Paralegal is also responsible for maintaining and educating on commercial policies and procedures, and ensuring consistent application of these throughout the business, through sound partnering with the business and functional teams.
• Under guidance of counsel, drafting, reviewing and negotiating strategic business agreements and transactions such as (but not limited to) customer sales contracts, license agreements, amendments, confidentiality agreements, contract amendments, and request for proposals.
• Administering contract documentation and approval systems pursuant to GE Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Managing contract databases, clause libraries, and other documentation tools.
• Working closely with company sales, service, finance and controllership teams as well as customers, business managers and attorneys.
• Acting as a business partner by applying combined business and legal judgment to proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention.
• Providing legal leadership on specific commercial areas as identified that may include government, channel partners and/or other focus areas.
Qualifications/Requirements

1. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated administrative experience in a corporate or professional business environment, supporting the activities of a department/team or senior manager2. Strong time management skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment3. Strong oral and written English communication skills, including grammar and composition 4. Excellent PC skills with advanced level skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook Mail) and previous demonstrated experience navigating the Internet effectively5. Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects with more than one team member simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and follow through on all assignments6. Must be able to maintain security of highly confidential information—discretion and confidentiality required7. Must be able to work self-directed with an ability to multi-task8. Must be willing and able to flex work hours periodically based on business needs
