Main Responsibilities

·  Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.
·  Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
·  Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
·  Lead the development & execution of short and mid-term Supplier Management strategies and performance that support a competitive advantage in partnership with Sourcing, Manufacturing Operations, Product Management and Engineering. 
·  Accountable for the identification, prioritization, budgeting, and resource planning for Supplier Management resources to support business objectives and key initiatives for their team’s scope.
·  Responsible for people leadership activities including recruiting, performance management, people development, and technical development to deliver outcomes across their scope. 
·  Responsible for execution of QMS and Compliance requirements associated with Supplier Management. This includes supplier QMS, Process, Capability and Compliance audits execution to plan and support of internal and external audits.
·  Responsible for push supplier improvements within RCA (Root Cause Analysis), drive process or product qualification, manage the SDR (Supplier Deviation Request) Process, monitoring and manage the CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) Recovery
·  Support improvement in Supplier Management processes through digitization and simplification including management / employee communication, policy recommendations and bowler dashboards.
·  Responsible for key Supplier Management metrics including DPPM, SCARs, NCRs, SDRs  and NPI.
·  Lead the incoming inspection team to cover all areas, ensuring the quality of our suppliers' products on our shop floor.

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (industrial, production, mechanical, electrical, metallurgical);
·  Ability to communicate (speak and write) in English and Portuguese;
·  Solid experience in Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering or Quality Management;
·  Previous experience leading cross-functional teams and managing factors impacting business and supplier performance;
·  Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives across multiple functions and global operations;
·  Prior experience in business and financial management, including setting strategic direction and executing organizational change at various levels;
·  Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of time;
·  Desired experience includes extensive background in Supplier Quality and/or Quality activities, proven leadership in driving results and process improvements (including Change Acceleration Process skills), strong Lean expertise with a continuous improvement mindset, and a focus on customer experience as the top priority;
·  Additional desirable experience: leading cross-functional teams, managing global improvement initiatives, and applying business and financial acumen to set strategic direction and execute organizational change.
