The Import–Export Coordinator is responsible for Logistics compliance with current and future regional governmental policy on import & export of goods, including correction of current processes, procedures & implementation of new ones. Identify opportunities to participate in preferential trade programs and oversight of compliant implementation. Provide leadership and support in the event of Import-Export Government, GE Vernova Corporate Audit Staff audits or Toshiba Corporate Audit Staff audits.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Monitor the progress of customer shipments throughout the shipping cycle to assure proper documentation, classification, and delivery, including effective communication of international customer requirements
· Document the policies and procedures associated with job function to ensure internal and external transparency
· Internal data entry and management expertise in control the inventory in transit and financial tracking/accountability
· International Foreign Trade: Ensure compliance with IMMEX company regulations. Administration of Annex 24 and Annex 30, sub-maquila program, manage timely import permit applications via government portals such as AAIPS. Record keeping of files and documentation for imports and exports.
· Imports: Coordinate the clearance of goods with customs agents and brokers at the following customs: Laredo, Monterrey’s Airport, Altamira, Manzanillo. Manage paperwork for imports: gather, validate, and manage commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, import permits, and shipping instructions.
· Exports: Planning and executing the export shipping program. Processing customer orders and invoicing of finished goods. Generating air waybills and documents required for export clearance. Coordinating and executing clearance of goods through various customs offices. Monitoring compliance with delivery deadlines.
· Logistics: Planning and coordination of import logistics from origin to destination for raw materials, spare parts and indirect materials using multimodal transportation: land (DV, FTB, LTL), sea (FCL, LCL) or air (freight, courier). Planning and coordination of export logistics from plant to costumer using international or domestic modes of transportation.
· Leading broker administration and cost reduction by Identify, evaluate and select suppliers. Negotiation of rates with carriers, customs brokers, and shipping companies. Analyzing alternatives to reduce the operation cost by negotiation, projects implementation or any other standard and ethic process.
· Responsible for driving compliance with all import/export activities to meet all country procedures and processes in Mexico and the other countries related to his/her activities.
· Knowledge of operating within security programs to ensure that warehousing, packaging and transportation requirements are met.
· Complies with established policies, procedures and practices for the company and government. Actively supports, participates in, and maintains the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility's safety program, ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.
· Exercises professionalism, objectivity, and a high standard of personal ethics, always dealing with day-to-day activities.
· Ensure compliance with Government, GE Vernova & Toshiba policies, procedures and import-export control regulations.
MAIN CHALLENGE : The Import–Export Coordinator is responsible to ensure that all Import and Export transactions are in full compliance with the company, local authorities and conform to Mexico and foreign customs laws and regulations.
AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY :
Empowered to stop any commercial activity representing a compliance violation or risk for the interested parties, Responsible for driving compliance with all import/export activities to meet all country procedures and processes.
Required Qualifications
· Business administration or related field, international commerce or bachelor’s degree in engineering could be allowed for the position
· 3 to 5 years work experience in Operations/Supply Chain, Logistics, Compliance, or International Trade Controls
· Full English Proficiency
· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills essential (English & Spanish as a minimum)
· Strong analytical and presentation skills
· Demonstrated proactive problem-solving ability.
· Compliance or Regulatory experience

· Previous Project Management experience
· Proven track record of success leading teams, programs or initiatives
· Strong organizational, inter-personal skill and demonstrated teamwork skills
