Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development of employees’ competencies, capacity, and proficiency to support and grow the primary differentiator between Steam Power and competitors.  Support the technical training program development and delivery across the Steam Power Services business.  Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the business to ensure a systematic approach to design, development and delivery of mechanical maintenance training for assigned Steam Turbine technology.  Deliver training for Steam Power Services Steam Turbine courses.  Support delivery of Gas Power Steam Turbine courses as needed.  Participate in the ADDIE process for Steam Turbine training development and enhancement.  Ensure applicable Steam Power processes are accurately integrated and updated in the Steam Turbine training programs.  Create an effective and engaging training experience for Instructor Led Training, including utilizing current technology to enhance the student experience. 

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related. Three (3) years of experience as a steam turbine technology instructor.  Work experience to include: Implementing adult learning theories and instructional design models; Maintenance and operation experience on Steam Turbines and Auxiliary equipment; Steam Turbine product knowledge to include: stationary and rotating components, system valves, and auxiliary systems; Managing technical training projects to include: Scope, schedule, and budget; Installation, repair, and instruction of stop controls to include: Main Stop and Control Valve (MSCV); and Implementing the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methodology.
