Role Summary/Purpose
The Router Technician is a 12 month contractual role with the requirement to convert shop routing documents, currently residing in our internal system, to a compatible standardized format and to transfer the converted documents into OASIS SAP by means of various IT Tools. This is a 12 month contractual role with the opportunity for future employment.
Essential Responsibilities
Will be required to extract and convert multiple sets of existing master shop routing documents to merge into a single flow set of instructions, while ensuring that the conversion meets requirements of the engine shop manual, site quality requirements and other engineering technical requirements. These positions will require creating relevant project documentation and tracking status of all assigned tasks to ensure all routers will be converted in a timely manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Diploma / Degree in Aerospace or Aircraft Engine Maintenance or Mechanical or Software Engineering or in similar field.
2. Strong communications skills and ability to work as part of a team.
3. Ability to understand relevant technical documentation, manuals or instructions.
4. Background or knowledge of MRO business environment.
5. Good proficiency in the English language.
6. Proficient in MS Power Point, Excel and Word.
7. Ability to adapt and learn quickly new IT tools
8. Ability to work under pressure in order to achieve aggressive deadlines
Desired Characteristics
1. Strong technical report writing background – preferably in aviation industry.
2. Previous internship or working experience in a MRO shop.
3. Knowledge about SAP software.
