Role Summary/Purpose
In this role, the Sales Specialist – Point of Care Ultrasound is responsible for driving capital equipment sales and demos into the hospital: emergency department, surgery, critical care and office environment: orthopedics, rheumatology and vein clinics.
Essential Responsibilities
Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities on Point of Care (POC U/S) Ultrasound products in assigned territory
Maintaining satisfactory after-sale relationships
Penetrating competitive accounts and communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements
Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive POC U/S sales
Prospecting for new customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining our existing customer portfolio
Annual and quarterly achievement of multiple sales and revenue targets
Development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors Degree or Technical Associates Degree with Capital Sales Experience
2+ years of small capital equipment or pharmaceutical sales experience, 1+ years of commercial clinical applications experience demonstrating ultrasound
equipment, or 2+ years GEHC experience in customer facing role(s) (such as Ultrasound Service or GEHC Inside Sales roles)
Willingness to travel 60-70% within your specified geographic region with occasional overnight stays depending on geography and business need.

Desired Characteristics
Bachelor's degree
Previous Healthcare capital equipment sales experience, preferably highly transactional OH sales
Knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems, networking and IT Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team
Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales offers 5+ years of demonstrated strategic selling skills including customer presentations, price quoting, product demonstration, negotiation, closing and growing a sales territory
Proven customer acumen and relationship building skills in a hospital/healthcare environment
Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process
Experience collaborating with, supporting and driving sales through sales channel partner organizations
Strong communication and clear-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages
Solid process orientation, demonstrated resource management and allocation experience, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Basic proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products
Knowledge of Healthcare industry trends and market place Clinical Ultrasound experience as a registered ultrasound sonographer
