Role Summary/Purpose
The Nuclear Fuel Analysis Engineer will contribute on the Reload Design & Analysis team in performance of nuclear fuel bundle and core design, reload licensing, cycle management, core monitoring databank preparation, and associated technical support for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants operating with GNF fuel.
Essential Responsibilities
As a Nuclear Fuel Analysis Engineer, you will:
· Perform technical evaluations and provide technical support in the areas of nuclear fuel bundle and core design, reload licensing, cycle management, and core monitoring databanks
· Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues
· Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables
· Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers
· Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in engineering, physics, or related science discipline from an accredited college or university
Desired Characteristics
· Master's degree or Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university
· Object-oriented programming experience such as Java, C#, C++
