What impact you'll make?
You will manage resources and activities of the Aero New Units Strategic Sourcing Request for Quotation (RFQ) Team, required for the collection of competitive supplier quotations. These activities include technical clarification, markups and RFI/SDR (request for information/supplier deviation request) management. If needed, escalate towards the dedicated Aero Direct Site Commodity Leader and/or Aero Strategic Sourcing Leader.

Job Description

What you’ll do

·  Identify/validate supply chain for customer/advance order demand for First Time Buy and non-Year over Year parts.
·  Tender multiple suppliers (if drawing/specifications/qualification allow) to ensure competitive bidding, via PLM/Sourcegate+. Main KPI (key performance indicator): RFQ (request for quotation) aging.
·  Support Direct Site Commodity Leaders in Year over Year parts re-quoting based on commodity strategy.
·  Support Direct Site Commodity Leaders in planner code assignments, Sourcing360 ownership setup and in Taxonomy updates.
·  Handle obsolete/superseded part number issues by cooperating with engineering groups.
·  Communicate markups to suppliers by collaborating with engineering groups.
·  Work with Direct Site Commodity Leaders, define alternate supply chain based on fulfillment/deflationary needs.
·  Make award decisions based on qualification and competitive price/cycle information, aligning with Direct Site Commodity Leaders.
·  Identify opportunities for cost saving with suppliers and support deflationary, cost-out and margin expansion ideas.
·  Drive cost avoidance in quotation cycle through proactive price negotiation with Suppliers.
·  Develop risk mitigation plans, identify required process improvements and drive implementation.
·  Communicate importance of GE Vernova systems usage to suppliers (Ariba, OTM (Oracle Transportation Module)).
·  Lead strategic projects operationally and ensure robust and timely execution.
·  Make operational decisions related to the Aero New Units Package & MSD commodities RFQ (request for quotation) non-global scope.
 

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

· 
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in Business Management, Engineering or Technical fields

· 
Significant Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing or equivalent experience.

· 
Fluent Hungarian AND English knowledge is essential 

·  Self-starter – able to excel in fast paced business environment.
·  Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specification requirements.
·  Very strong customer service and results oriented mindset.
·  Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
·  Ability to organize, assess, prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones and deliverables.
 

What will make you stand out

·  Technical (manufacturing/engineering) background is an advantage.
·  Highly motivated and detail oriented.
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
·  Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (Oracle, SAP).
