Job Description Summary
The focus of this job is to manage, problem-solve and work cross-functionally in support of the material flow between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet requirements of GE, Customers, and Suppliers. In this role, you will:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ability to do and perform roles and responsibilities of the Material Handler classification and additionally the following:
· Communicate well in person, through email and phone with cross-functional departments, suppliers, and customers
· Ensure timely material of project parts and prep of shipment (daily movement to all suppliers)
· Report to upper leadership of bottlenecks and result management to help team get back on track
· Validate quantity of parts shipping out for proper BOM management
· Trouble shoot material related issues as required
· Identify and resolve process issues
· Develop BOMs / Tracking list to identify hot items that need high priority of processing
· Collect data, track, and communicate status of projects
· Track and report the flow of material from all EMU’s to the OSS Bus-Stops.
· Ensure required parts are placed in proper engineering hold cage.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
· High School Diploma / GED
· Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage yard
· Ability to be able to lift , push, and pull up to 40 pounds
· Ability to be certified and operate a forklift, 4500 pounds and over
· Basic computer skills
· Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
Desired Characteristics:

Previous Material Handling experience
·
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English language
·
Advanced computer skills (Oracle, MS Excel, Shipping Tools or another warehouse management system)
·
Experience working with Aero-Derivative Gas Turbines/Aviation engine and module configurations
