Basic Qualifications
· High school education or GED equivalency.
· Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (i.e. - dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within department.
· Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
· Prior working knowledge of machine shop operations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
· Operate hand tools such as scrapers, files, deburr-knife, burr-bits, emery cloth, etc.
· Operate mechanical equipment such as drill presses, turning equipment, sanding wheels & belts, buffing and grinding wheels; operate optical comparator.
· Perform visual inspection of parts subsequent to assembly steps.
· Verify and change tools when necessary; report problems to appropriate resources and/or Coach.
· Keep all team members informed on special problems involving operation or set up.
· Perform mechanical inspection to verify in process parts for conformance to print & specifications using standard measuring equipment; may assist with proto-type or first-time builds.
· Assists the team in development and/or improvement of procedures and process sheets.
· Perform daily machine preventative maintenance.
· Keep equipment in operation by making timely adjustments.
· Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
· Participate in and support team initiatives.
· Assists in Manual Machine Shop when needed.
· Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
· Understands and abides by the GE Behaviors.
· Other duties as required.
Desired Qualifications:
· Prior experience and usage of micrometer, calipers.
· Experience working with drill presses, turning equipment, sanding wheels & belts, buffing and grinding wheels.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience in a self-directed team environment.
· Familiarity with 5S and Lean manufacturing knowledge.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
· Ability to continuously sit.
· Ability to occasionally life up to 20lbs; ability to push/pull up to 22lbs.

The pay for this position is $19.50/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 3/31/26.
