Essential Responsibilities

· 
Create machining programs for lathes and multitasking turning/milling 5-axis machining centers, in order to meet the requirements of the operation tags in the routing sequence.

· 
Carry out tape tests at the machine to verify the functionality and effectiveness of the created part program (PP), and, if necessary, make changes to achieve full qualification of the part program.

· 
Modify existing part programs with the goal of optimizing machining in terms of quality and cost.

· 
Collaborate with the tooling team in selecting the best tooling solutions for a given machining operation.

· 
Support the Technology and Quality teams in defining the optimal machining process (method, strategy, cutting tools, measuring instruments, fixtures).

· 
Support machine operators during machining operations.

· 
Develop part programs for NPI parts in accordance with the timing required by the production processes.

Qualifications/Requirements

· 
Experience as a CNC machine tool programmer, preferably on multi-tasking machines (turning/milling lathes), both at the machine and using CAM software

· 
Experience in machining turning / turn-milling operations on superalloy components (preferably Inconel / Rene)

· 
Knowledge of Renishaw probe programming

· 
Knowledge of or familiarity with Siemens NX and Productivity+ software

· 
Ability to optimize tooling based on the machining strategy used

· 
Ability to operate CNC turning and turn-milling machines

· 
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

· 
Knowledge of measuring instruments and basic notions of metrology

· 
Ability to adapt existing part programs directly at the machine by applying basic edits to the program list

· 
Ability to troubleshoot problems and anomalies when using CNC machines

· 
Basic knowledge of geometry and trigonometry and the use of mathematical formulas useful for defining CNC machining strategies

· 
Communication skills necessary for interfacing with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing technologies, quality)

· 
Knowledge of the Italian language (written and spoken)

· 
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required



Desired Characteristics

· 
Basic knowledge of the English language.

· 
Knowledge of the NX Teamcenter software.
