Job Description Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator manages a regional logistics portfolio in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction. Participate and lead logistics related projects, supports customer delivery through operational excellence. You will be responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects and services as well as providing logistics support, consulting, finding optimal mode and way of transportation and obtaining the best possible transportation rates.
This role will be located near IAH George Bush International Airport. This role is expected to be onsite.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure Transport Management System (OTM) and process compliance and integrity for multiple regions
· Optimize shipments, improve on time delivery, and cost efficiency of customer deliveries through Lean approach
· Evaluate and drive transport mode and service level optimization
· Investigate logistics non-conformances, identify, and record corrective actions
· Work cross functionally with stakeholders, members of the Gas Power Logistics team and business operations related to the logistics strategy and execution
· Accountable for accurate OTM and logistics related data and associated KPI report availability
· Provide excellent and prompt customer service via phone and email
· Accountable for executing transportation goals, strategies, and procedures in accordance with Gas Power Logistics initiatives
· Lead the shipment planning process by enhanced system utilization and contractual coverage through collaboration with business operations
· Assist with issues related to Information Technology impacting customer experience
Requirements :
· 5 or more years in operational and/or supply chain experience supporting international shipments
· Minimum of High School Diploma/GED
· Understanding of Incoterms (International Trade Association)
Desired Characteristics:
· Strong facilitation skills, ability to work independently.
· Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
· Experience with process improvements, Lean and Kaizen.
· Comfortable in matrixed cross-functional environments.
· Demonstrated ability to improve metrics.
· Experience with training others.
· Operational planning.
· Strong computer skills and experience working in MRP systems.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
The base pay range for this position is 69,600.00 - 104,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% bonus.
