Role Summary/Purpose
The Lead FP&A Operations Analyst will support all engineering financial and planning activities for the O&G HQ Engineering organization. You will be part of the HQ Engineering/Operations finance team, and will interact on a daily basis with the different engineering finance and operation teams around the world owning the consolidation and the analysis of all HQ base cost results.
Essential Responsibilities
In the role of Lead FP&A Operations Analyst, you will:
· Support Engineering HQ estimating and planning cycles (quarterly estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews and SII planning)
· Be heavily involved with periodic finance closing process
· Analyze data for reasonableness & review variances by considering sources, current business activities and historical trends and communicate results to business stakeholders
· Be responsible for the different engineering functional base costs and headcount analysis
· Generate and enhance routine reports that meet client business needs by conducting thorough assessment with business stakeholders
· Ensure timely reporting of Engineering P&E investments and related depreciation
· Work closely with O&G Product Companies in providing leadership with O&G level Engineering programs estimates/actual at monthly and quarter points
· Comply with necessary regulations in the reporting process using knowledge of applicable statutory and GAAP reporting requirements

Desired Characteristics
· Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers
· Strong communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
· Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), and Microsoft Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
· Strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business owners with difficult messages and defend position
· Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
