Job Description Summary

We are looking for a skilled, experienced, and hands-on Instrumentation Technician to join the team at the Ashalim Solar Power Plant.
The role mainly involves performing maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of all kinds of instrumentation equipment and systems at the power plant.
The role also includes supporting related O&M activities and projects, while ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with GEV O&M procedures, contractual requirements, and local regulations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

·  Execute I&C preventive maintenance, focusing on instrumentation activities, in accordance with the work plans.
·  Execute I&C correctivee maintenance, focusing on instrumentation activities.
·  Calibration of sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and other related equipment (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, and water-steam cycle analyzers).
·  Troubleshooting of malfunctions and performing instrumentation repairs to ensure reliable plant operation.
·  Support the implementation and improvement of measurement and monitoring systems.
·  Update and document maintenance and calibration records in the CMMS and dedicated calibration software.
·  Ensure efficient use of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
·  Contribute to I&C related projects and plant upgrades.
·  Develop and update I&C related procedures and work instructions.
·  Maintain close working relationships with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to ensure alignment on maintenance and operational priorities.

Requirements:

·  At least 3 years of practical experience in instrumentation within a power plant or industrial environment.
·  Practical experience with calibration procedures and processes, industrial sensors, and measurement systems.
·  Familiarity with test equipment and standard I&C tools.
·  Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
·  Experience with water-steam cycle analytical instruments is an advantage.
·  Basic understanding of control systems (DCS/PLC) is an advantage
·  Ability to work both independently and in cooperation with team members to address technical challenges under pressure.
·  Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
·  Fluent in Hebrew, with good spoken and written English skills.
·  Mandatory availability for on-call duty and call-outs during weekdays, weekends, and holidays to support continuous power plant operations.
