Job Description Summary
This role will provide HR support for the Leadership Team and employees (hourly and salaried) of GE Aerospace’s Grand Rapids manufacturing facility. They will provide support on organizational and employee matters, as well as coaching, HR process expertise and other general HR activities. They will build strong relationships with all levels of the organization in order to drive cultural initiatives and execute business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Partner with all levels of Management to drive business objectives in a Union environment
· Partner with site HR Leader to execute site specific HR strategies and drive cultural initiatives and transformation, including Lean fundamentals
· First point of contact for employees and managers
· Provide day-to-day Labor Relations support for the location including, contract interpretation, workplace investigations, grievance administration, etc.
· Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field
· Lead key HR processes including supervisor training, onboarding, employee development, etc
· Partner with Union Leadership to drive positive change
· Communicates complex messages clearly and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different perspective
· Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience)
· Employee Relations experience in a Manufacturing Environment
· 3+ years of Human Resource experience in a Unionized (manufacturing) environment

· Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or greater preferred
