Role Summary/Purpose

The HR Base Cost analyst will support the Strategic Workforce Planning manager within the Workforce Analytics & Operations team. Responsibilities will be to develop and implement HR cost management practices across GE Renewable Energy globally. Utilise people and finance metrics and reporting to feed cost analysis and insights, to create operational insights for workforce decision-making to identify gaps and solutions to meet long term workforce requirements.
Essential Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities will typically include the following but other duties and responsibilities might be assigned:
- Support the annual cycle of workforce planning for tracking and governance throughout the plan year, including headcount and base cost management in order to support business financial objectives.
- Support the wider Workforce Analytics team with wider SWP projects and cost related tracking.
- Support other Renewable Energy business functions with workforce related cost analysis, governance and tracking.
- Support a cultural change within GE Renewable Energy HR team to more data driven decision making to ensure higher workforce productivity, engagement and better returns from recruitment and learning investments.
- Partner with Finance to support and drive analysis on people related base cost objectives, including restructuring and cost out projects.
- Provide analytics to support the business decision involving cost implications and annual tracking of cost out projects.
- Lead continued implementation of competency models for key functions globally, drive
- Partner with People Science team on related people data projects.
- Effectively use HR reporting tools and dashboards to provide ad hoc support to HR leadership team

Qualifications/Requirements

- Degree in human resources, economics, statistics, finance, social science, psychology, or another field that uses quantitative analysis.
- Experience of running HR and SWP projects within a global industrial company and leading a team of analysts.
- Working knowledge of statistics and application of statistical tools, alongside knowledge of analytical tools such as Tableau, Python, and R.
- Advanced knowledge of excel capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of Workday, Workday reporting and position management.
- Fluency in English, with polite, professional communication skills.
Desired Characteristics

- Previous experience where you’ve proven success in a HR Analytics role, ideally within a multinational organization is an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite with expert skills in MS Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables), and PowerPoint.
- Superior analytical skills with the ability to assess data and trends using both quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.
- High level of technical/system acumen – has the level of technical skills required to execute data extraction, data mining and reporting from a variety of workforce systems.
- Experience of working with Lean Management tools
- Have a strong work ethic, organization skills, the desire to learn and is not afraid to ask questions

- Excellent collaboration, influencing, and change agent skills
- Must have excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving communication skills.

- Strong sense of urgency

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks & work to deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and ability to communicate with employees of all levels.
