Job Description Summary

The Lead Materials Planner will be responsible for properly coordinating direct material deliveries in support of the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy Fuels Components Operation (FCO). The FCO team manufactures fuel bundle components for nuclear reactors. This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Planning and scheduling material/production needs.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

·  Assist fulfillment leader in master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.  Ensure operational alignment with production plan, KPIs, and machine capacity.  Optimize inventory and process improvements
·  Use master production plan to create waterfall planning down to machine level
·  Analyze customer requirements, forecasts, manufacturing schedules and project plans to create direct material requests in support of factory operations
·  Schedule material flow based on Customer requirements, production capacity, material delivery capability, and active constraints/trends within the shop.
·  Create and maintain Bills of Material in the MRP system
·  Facilitate implementation of design changes with Sourcing and Manufacturing teams
·  Interface with buyers, supply chain leaders and suppliers to ensure on time deliveries
·  Manage and optimize inventory levels
·  Support processing and correcting production traveler information
·  Lead projects to improve input/output modeling for the shop
·  Seek simplification opportunities across various production and quality systems including Proficy, Oracle, CIIM, OSP
·  Work alongside production control personnel on daily tasks.
·  Work cross functionally with operations, quality, and engineering including off shifts for production planning needs and objectives.
·  Promote team engagement and ownership. Champion positive employee relations. Foster employee engagement and recognition.
·  Develop and support the growth of all team employees
·  Support forecasting of material through NPI projects/new machine qualifications and impacts to production
·  Other relevant duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor Degree in a supply chain, engineering or business management discipline; OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in military or industrial engineering/operations/logistics/production scheduling.
·  Minimum 4 years of experience in a supply chain, engineering or business management role (industrial or military).
·  Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, production control, operations management or and/or manufacturing material flow

Eligibility Requirements

·  This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
·  This role requires working onsite in our headquarters in Wilmington, NC

Desired Characteristics

·  Knowledge of MRP fundamental principles and systems
·  Experience working with CIIM MRP System
·  Experience working in ORACLE ERP
·  Production Planning Experience within 10CFR50 App B Quality System
·  Knowledge of GNF’s or GEH’s products, processes, customers, and environment
·  Proficient with computers including Internet and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook)
·  APICS trained / certified
·  Lean Manufacturing experience, Six Sigma Certification
·  Strategic capacity to sift through complex information and focus on critical priorities
·  Seeks simple solutions to complex problems
·  Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to influence diverse cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
·  Strong organizational skills, including experience with scheduling and fleet logistics.

The base pay range for this position is $90K to $100K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Tuesday, June 17th.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
