Working at our Beavercreek Site :

GE Aerospace operations have been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years! Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts, and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHAS’s highest safety rating. 

Role Overview:

Serve as the focal for repair development and industrialization. This role will work across several bands, geographical locations, and various types of engineering. In a limited capacity, may also work cross functionally work with programs, business development, and Operations leadership. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

·  Development and support of repair and inspection technologies, process qualification, industrialization. Related program deliverables to repair facilities for new and updated processes.
·  Fast paced, hands on, highly diversified role with the ability to flex in and outside traditional engineering scope to support business needs.
·  This role will provide exposure to cost estimating, process development, product development, direct customer contact and daily operational support
·  Work closely with repair and product engineers to develop solutions for tube and duct externals hardware.
·  Support products from CF6 to LEAP engine platforms and most commercial platform between. Leverage practices from similar product as well as develop new techniques
·  Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
·  A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills. Provides informal guidance to new team members and vendors
·  Role will require Special Process Ownership of 1 process within
·  Support global projects with cross functional teams and owners.

Required Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing experience)
·  Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Prior special process experience or certification
·  Prior FAR 145 experience

Additional Information:

·  Ability to work in an area where there is moderate noise intensity (85 to 8-9 dBa)
·  Ability to work in an area where, due to normal machining operations, there may be dust, fumes or smoke (not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels (PEL))
·  Ability to work extended hours when needed
