Role Summary/Purpose
Our Controls Centre of Excellence, located in Nailsea has recently identified a need to create two openings for apprentices within our engineering function.
During your 4-year Apprenticeship, you will attend college full time, for the first year, where you will complete PEO’s (performing engineering operations) moving towards gaining BTEC Technical and vocational qualifications. You will then rotate through our team of engineers, across a variety of engineering functions.
Essential Responsibilities
Through rotational placement learn the fundamentals of the BHGE Controls product design and test, covering the core disciplines of Electrical, Hydro Mechanical and Software Engineering. Covering our 3 primary Product Groups -
· Topside and Digital
· Subsea Power and Communications
· Packaged products
· Activity contribute to the Controls ‘World Class Manufacturing’ facility during a core placement in the Engineering Operation Excellence Site Support team ensuring a seamless link between Engineering and the Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality teams
· Understand the role of Engineering within the execution of Projects during a placement in a live Controls project covering the primary roles of Project Engineering Management and System Design
· Activity contribute to the Controls ‘World Class Engineering’ operation during a placement with the Engineering Operation Excellence Process and Performance team.
· During a rotational placement in all primary department of the Nailsea Controls site, understand the total operation from Project opportunity bidding through to client delivery of manufactured products/ system
· Become proficient in the use of Business IT systems, including Gensuite, Teamcenter, ePIMS, Oracle ERP, Documentum etc.

Qualifications/Requirements
A Level Grade C or above in Math’s and science, or HNC/HND in an engineering subject.
· 5 GSCE’s, grades 9-5, including Math’s, English, and a Science
