Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is seeking to hire an experienced leader that can transform the Legal organization into a data-driven, technology-enabled team with enhanced capabilities to identify and predict emerging risk for the businesses. The Director of Legal Data & Technology will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the digital transformation roadmap for the Legal function in support of all the GE Vernova businesses. This role will partner closely with GE Vernova’s business Legal teams; other functions including Digital Technology (DT), Compliance, and Finance; and third parties including law firms and technology providers. The role will be based in Vernova Headquarters in Cambridge, MA or Washington, DC and will report to the Chief Technology Counsel.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

·  Strategic Leadership: Assess baseline technology adoption and develop strategic multi-year roadmap for the Digital Legal Platform at GE Vernova.
·  Technology Roadmap: Outline and execute multi-layered approach to technology/data enablement including data quality/accessibility, systems based controls, data analytics, Gen AI, and automated workflows.  Manage existing Legal tech stack and partner with functional leaders to understand opportunities for further enablement.
·  Executive Communication & Buy In: Provide clear, actionable recommendations, aligned to the strategic risk profile of GE Vernova to secure funding.
·  Advanced Analytics Execution: Lead execution of high priority projects to demonstrate impact/return on investment.
·  Enable Data-Driven Legal Support: Lead development of dashboards, metrics, analytics, and reporting packages to provide real-time business insights and stronger governance. Provide continuous improvement and development to meet increasing regulatory expectations and address business needs.
·  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with adjacent functions (e.g., DT, Compliance, Finance) to align resources and promote cross-functional opportunities to realize the digital vision faster and more cost effectively.
·  Drive Strategic Legal Insight: Partner with Legal Operations and the broader Legal function to support the development of KPIs to be used as part of regular reporting package.
·  Build Out Center of Excellence Capabilities: Establish goals, accountability measures, needs, and staffing to support centralized data and technology strategy.
·  Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and mentor a team of program managers and data analytics professionals, creating professional development pathways for the team to work on high impact projects in support of the functional goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
·  8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy leadership roles, with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business impact.
·  3+ years of experience managing teams and complex projects, with a focus on scaling analytics capabilities and driving enterprise-wide initiatives.
·  Proven experience partnering with legal, compliance, audit, or similar organizations to address risk.
·  Strong expertise analytics frameworks, techniques, and advanced analytics platforms.
·  Proven ability to translate data into compelling insights that drive action and decision-making.
·  Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
·  Solid understanding of AI/Machine Learning applications and experience integrating these capabilities into business workflows.
·  Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and building enterprise-wide capabilities for improved risk management.
·  Strong problem-solving skills with a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution.
·  Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a global environment, set priorities and drive tasks and projects to conclusion in a fast-paced environment.

·  Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills with orientation toward process improvement.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and other analytical tools like Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL or similar tools.
·  Experience with Legal technology tools such as Relativity, ONIT, or Harvey.
·  Solid judgment, clear thinker, and business sense.
·  Ability to create an environment of continual learning, and to change the way the Legal is working to be simpler and more adaptive.
·  Ability to work horizontally to deliver outcomes.

If contracted in the US:

The base pay range for this position is $150,100 - 250,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This posting is expected to close on 9/21/2025.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
