Role Summary/Purpose

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is experienced in manufacturing technology & engineering design, is capable of delivering high impact projects and deals effectively with technical information.
This position will be instrumental in the development & execution of BHGE’s Industry 4.0 strategy across Montrose COE. Collaborating cross functionally to implement new technologies, drive productivity projects, develop standard processes and ensure best practices are implemented.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for the subsea business 
·  Has the experience or expertise to solve problems 
·  Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others 
·  Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods 
·  Lead commissioning activities - ensure that technical commissioning and testing is completed, documented and the handover deliverables are signed-off on time and within budget
Create initial designs, conduct vendor/contractor management, and oversee installation and startup of projects 
·  Support new software development 
·  Take innovative approaches to problem solving 
·  Identify projects and solutions that are tied to program goals 
·  With limited direction from Manager, manage small technology & productivity projects to completion 
·  Responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives 
·  Responsible for working with the Lean 6 Sigma team to develop more efficient processes, procedures and drive productivity 
·  Prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively 
·  Communicate with vendors to understand and determine product specifications
Qualifications/Requirements

·  BEng in Electrical Engineering or Control System Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience 
·  Technical background in Control systems, SCADA & PLC software 
·  Experience with safety wiring circuits and automation design 
·  Familiarity with electrical drawing standards and standard electrical design components 
·  Demonstrate an understanding of full product development lifecycles, design and document change control 
·  Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements
