Role Summary/Purpose
Maintains production and facility support equipment to planned production and quality specifications. Responsibility includes electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, utility systems, and facility equipment components. Leads problem solving groups and trains other Technicians.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition you will :
Plan, install, maintain, rebuild, and repair a wide variety of machinery requiring the use of ordinary and specialized tools and devices
Perform maintenance and PM’s on electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic / hydraulic systems
Assume an active role in the output and quality of equipment in assigned area
Train production technical and support personnel as required
Act as the team leader in completion of special technical problem resolution assignments and manages structured groups within maintenance organization
Complete work orders and log work into Maximo program
Maintain equipment function by conducting proper PM’s
Actively participate in continuous improvement, lean concepts and team activities
Additional activities:
May be required to setup and use ladders and hand and power trucks
Perform associated duties as required
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Qualifications/Requirements
High School graduate or GED (Technical School desirable)
Minimum of 3 years of general experience in industrial maintenance or previous lead technician role in manufacturing industry
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
Heavy lifting (up to 50lbs)
Pushing, pulling, climbing, crawling, bending, and / or squatting / stooping or working in tight places or above shoulder height

Well rounded mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance repair and troubleshooting skills
Ability to lead and direct small teams within maintenance organization (preventive, predictive, and reliability-focused) plan and organize work projects and resources
Work closely with engineering for qualification runs, set up of new products, and machine retrofits
Ability to lead problem solving team and LEAN manufacturing groups
Knowledge and understanding of logic and complex systems (PLC’s, vision systems, robotics, etc.)
Ability to manage time and multiple projects in addition to normal duties
Maintain proactive stance rather than reactive in dealing with equipment and process repairs or improvements
Repair equipment in safe, timely, and professional manner
Install procedures and solutions to prevent repeat occurrences in equipment malfunctions and ensure such are communicated and personnel trained
Good interpersonal skills and ability to train other technicians, engineers, operators, or support personnel
Act as team leader over special technical problem resolution and act as group leader in supervisor’s absence
Strong general industrial safety practices (Fire evacuation, accident reporting, PPE, Lock-out / Tag-out, hot work permits, waste disposal, confined space work)
Advanced understanding of CNC machining centers and associated tooling and fixtures
Advanced understanding of automation concepts
Advanced understanding of assembly line production systems using linear motion, robotics, and vision systems
