The Space Optimization team exists to maximize store productivity and elevate the customer experience through data-driven planning, strategic execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
The Associate Space Planner plays a foundational role in supporting the Space Optimization team’s mission. This role combines operational execution with analytical thinking, contributing to the continuous improvement of store space strategies.
The role will focus on maintaining critical store data, assisting in layout and inventory tracking, and collaborating cross-functionally to support product and store initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about retail analytics, this position offers a clear path to grow into a Planner role.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
· Maintain and update store attribute data across internal databases and tools
· Support inventory tracking, store clustering, and fixture mapping
· Assist in scheduling and tracking space planning projects and initiatives
· Monitor SKU counts, space mixes, and store counts for reporting purposes
· Ensure data accuracy across SharePoint, Excel, and Power BI dashboards
· Help implement space planning strategies and guidelines across store formats
· Conduct analysis of store layouts, market trends, and historical sales data to identify opportunities for space optimization and improved customer experience
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support layout execution
· Prepare materials for meetings and cross-functional store reviews
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Retail, Data Analytics, or related field
· 2+ years of experience in retail operations, merchandising, or data administration
· Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to draw conclusions from numerical data and support strategies aimed at increasing profitability and productivity
· Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint; basic Power BI knowledge is a plus
· Comfortable working across multiple projects and shifting priorities
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
· Effective communication and collaboration skills
· Experience with retail databases or space planning tools is a plus
