Role Purpose:

• Responsible for achieving target customer service levels (CFR) while optimizing the trade-offs between production capacity constraints, inventory levels and waste, ensuring lowest total cost for the organisation

• Manage stock and to targeted inventory levels across UKIE, whilst monitoring shelf life challenges, for total portfolio of around 100 products

• Provide regular supply outlooks and communicate out of stocks to relevant stakeholders with clear commentary around root cause and mitigating actions

• Take the lead to proactively mitigate supply issues on the short, medium and long term horizons

• Supply planning lead in any projects e.g. NPD, portfolio management etc 

 

 

This is a highly interconnected role within the Ops team, where you are empowered to own your scope, and you can see the team’s impact on KPIs on a day to day basis. Working in Supply Planning opens up potential roles and opportunities across all other areas of Operations at Danone. 

 

Key tasks include:

• Ownership of production plans on short term (weekly) and mid/long-term horizons for allocated Supply Points, ensuring Stock Availability and appropriate levels of inventory to cover UK and Ireland Demand and Warehouses. 

• Present CFR/status in Weekly Availability Meeting (Snr Mgt forum) for escalation/resolution

• Ownership for setting optimum safety stock levels, defining best practice processes & driving improvements across the category and with nominated Supply Points

• Responsible for managing stock to targeted inventory levels & proactively working to identify possible write-off, closely monitoring shelf-life challenges, and propose actions to mitigate

• Anticipate over/under capacities and propose solutions in the immediate term to avoid availability issues

• Lead Innovation projects including Phase-In/Phase-Out

 

This role is a 9 month fixed-term contract.

We would like you to demonstrate your following key skills:

• Ideally you'll have some previous Supply chain / Supply Planning functional experience

• Highly agile and with the ability to prioritise and respond to an ever-changing environment

• Results driven and demonstrates a high level of continuous improvement

• Strong data analysis skills, able to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data

• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, and enjoys cross functional working

•Volatile product planning experience (NPD, highly promotional etc)

• System experience (SAP/APO) desirable

• Advanced excel skills, ideally with some knowledge of PowerBI

 

 

 

Salary Bracket: £45,000 - £50,000
