Job description

The Medical & Nutritional Science department is hiring a Senior Statistician  on a permanent contract in the Biometrics team. The position is based in Gif-sur-Yvette (91) on our Research & Innovation Center. It comprises laboratories and pilot workshops at the cutting edge of science and technology, with employees working collectively to innovate on the dairy and plant products, waters and specialized nutrition of tomorrow.   

The Medical & Nutritional Science R&I division aims to create value and growth opportunities for Danone around Nutrition and/or Health. 

 

The Biometrics team team is in charge of  the methodology, analysis and interpretation of data from clinical studies conducted within the Medical & Nutritional Science department. 

 

The Senior Statistician, linked to the Biometrics team will be responsible for :   

·   designing and applying statistical methods for preclinical, clinical or epidemiological studies and those in compliance with the requirements of health authorities. 
·   writing and reviewing these statistical methods in clinical documents (protocol, statistical analysis plan, calculation of the sample size required) 
·   analyzing biological or clinical data using software such as SAS, R or possibly Python. 
·  collaborating and interacting with a clinical team composed of, among others, data-managers, statistical programmers, clinical project managers, scientists, product logistics managers to deliver clinical studies. 
·  interpreting and making accessible the results of clinical studies both in external scientific publications and when sharing results internally. 
·  participating in scientific conferences to promote Danone's statistical expertise in clinical studies or to monitor new innovative methods in clinical research. 
·  being trained in Good Clinical Practices and knowing the regulatory guidelines applicable to clinical studies in nutrition. 
·  managing a clinical study portfolio and associated deliverables in line with his/her expertise. 
·  supervising or mentoring a junior statistician.

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.  

Master degree or + in biostatistics, statistics, data science, or an equivalent field, 

·  Experience in clinical trial management as biostatistician, 
·  Programing background among them SAS or R, Python is a plus, 
·  Ability to work independently, 
·  Curiosity, 
·  English and French fluent, all other languages are a plus.
