More specifically, the Advanced Technologies – Ingredients department is in charge of developing innovative ingredients and providing expertise in the different categories of existing or emerging ingredients as well as anticipating scientific and technological solutions through the promotion and development of our ecosystem.
The Enzyme team's mission is to
· Designs innovative technological solutions based on biotransformation to accelerate category growth by responding to global brand briefs.
· Supports innovation through qualification and scale-up of new technologies enabling disruptive solutions for our market.
· Leverages a strong ecosystem of partners.
The mission of the technician is as follows:

R&I product development technician with expertise in enzyme technology
The technician will be employed in front-end product development impacting on the Essential Dairy and Plant Based divisions of Danone.
Key responsibilities:
· In support of the scientists in the team, contributes to product innovation enabled by enzyme technology from conceptualization to lab-scale and pilot-scale prototyping.
· Participate in projects where enzymes can be used to enhance sensory properties, improve food processing, and/or extend shelf-life of fresh dairy or plant-based products
· Test novel enzyme discoveries in new applications and to optimize existing products

· Participates in Laboratory Processes: Manages specific lab equipment and oversees its upgrades, while actively engaging in collaborative laboratory activities.
· May supervise 1 apprentice or 1 trainee during the year.
· May travel to visit other Danone R&I centers, factories and suppliers
· Works with other teams in Danone R&I and liaises with external partners
The Enzyme technician
· May supervise 1 apprentice or 1 trainee.
· Travels to suppliers and/or Utrecht and/or one of our plants for tests.
In this role, the Enzyme technician will be in contact with
· Other R&I global teams
· The purchasing team
· Food Law ;
· Plants
· External partners ((scientific and industrial)
· The Global Quality and Food safety team
About You:
· BSc degree in food science, food technology or adjacent fields.
· At least 2 years' experience in dairy technology and product development
· Experience in the use of enzyme technology in foods would be a plus.
· Agile, dynamic, autonomous and with a strong team player mindset.
· Good command of office software (particularly Excel).
· As the enzyme technician will have interactions outside of France, fluency in French and in English is essential.
