R&I Packaging Engineer

Job description

The Research and Innovation (R&I) Packaging Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of innovations, renovations and productivity packaging projects in CEE.

This person’s goal is also to guarantee maximum utilization of packaging potential from the consumer and business perspective, by providing technical execution of packaging projects (CEE and EU scope if needed).

 

Main responsibilities:

·  Performing packaging trials within the factory and after transport.
·  Clearly communicating to the project team about project evolution, risks and challenges.
·  Ensuring the packaging documentation and associated tasks are up to date.
·  Ensuring compliance to DANONE packaging quality & food safety standards.
·  Defining project budget, timeline and risks / mitigation plan.
·  Reporting progress to EU R&I Pack Manager
·  Being an active member of the European packaging community to ensure best practice and ideas are shared and pulled from other CBUs / PACK HUBs.
·  Unlocking technical challenges to enable packaging opportunities which drive consumer preferences, scale, efficiency and productivity.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's degree.
·  1-2 years experience in packaging development/testing, packaging or related engineering fields.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·  Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams; R&D, Project Management, Production, etc.
·  Strong Problem Solving and decision-making skills.
·  Results driven with high personal accountability.
·  Skilled in using Microsoft Office.
·  Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
·  Familiarity with production equipment and manufacturing processes.
