Position Title: We’re looking for a Procurement Manager - Coman Efficiency , reporting to the Procurement Director – Coman Canada.

 

Position Overview - Context:

As a growing organization, Danone relies on a network of partners to complement its manufacturing capacity and capabilities across all types of products. This important part of our operations and spend requires an adapted structure and governance to assure continuous optimization of its costs. 

As part of the North American Procurement team, we are seeking someone with a passion for cost analysis and optimization, procurement/negotiations to collaborate with multiple stakeholders that has a track record of COGS improvements in this kind of setting. FMCG experience will be a key asset in this role.

 

Position Overview - Description:

As the Procurement Manager Contract Manufacturing Efficiency at Danone Canada, you will play a crucial role in assessing and optimizing our end to end contract manufacturing costs & operations. You’ll collaborate with suppliers & internal teams to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure seamless production processes for all outsourced products.

Leveraging Danone’s current supplier base, the Direct Materials Procurement network and local Finance to deliver productivities, manage all costs components of the Outsourced Finished Goods Products and Implementing sourcing strategies.

 

More specifically, you will be responsible to:

 

Landed COGS management:

·  Negotiate & Execute manufacturing tolls pricings with Coman suppliers;
·  Continuous identification and improvement of Raws & Packaging Materials costs, losses and Payment Terms with Coman suppliers;
·  Collaborate with Operations Network Strategy lead to analyze sourcing optimization ensuring best landed COGS, CSL & Leadtimes to Customers.

Sourcing Execution:

·  Works closely with Direct Materials NORAM and Global procurement teams to ensure all negotiated rates and sourcing initiatives are extended and applied to Coman Finished Goods pricings;
·  Deploy Productivity opportunities through Sourcing optimization, Operations improvements & R&P Sourcing strategies.
·  Collaborate with project managers to oversee Raws & Packaging Materials sourcing changes for reformulations projects;
·  Oversee Coman suppliers creation process (Banking, SAP, Logistics, BOM & Price files construction);

Finished Products Pricing:

·  Price lists establishment with suppliers, approvals and implementation of SAP contracts;
·  Monitors market inflations on commodities, specialized ingredients and packs to assure Danone’s best sourcing costs, visibility & appropriate market risk mitigation;
·  Working closely with finance, establishing forecasted prices based on risks & opportunities considering accurate market information, sourcing initiatives and projects timelines;
·  Support projects teams on sourcing decisions and costing for Products initial setups;
·  Collaborate with Global Procurement teams to benchmark best practices, prices, and terms & conditions to drive End to End cost improvement.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:

·  Bachelor degree in Commerce, Operations, or related fields;
·  3 to 5 years  of experience in Procurement, Operations Finance and/or Project Management;
·  Procurement category management experience in Contract Manufacturing and/or Direct Materials
·  Rigorous data analysis capability and business acumen;
·  Experience in the food-processing industry, especially perishable products is an asset;
·  Experience with continuous improvement methodologies is an asset;
·  Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, matrix environment;
·  The individual must demonstrate habilities in negociation and persuasion;
·  Proactive: anticipates issues/opportunities & can work through multiple simultaneous projects.
