Danone Health is a global and local digital team with expertise on digital health new technologies including devices, AI, mobile apps and more. This team is helping to develop technologies, find and partner with relevant external suppliers, integrate solutions in local tech ecosystems as well as building strategies to deliver health and business impact with digital health services.
The department works together with Danone Global Categories, located in Singapore. Global category teams with expertise on our Special Nutrition (medical nutrition) main categories and portfolio strategies. The teams are helping to focus on the right products and markets to ensure health and business impact successes via digital health services. They are also supporting with science, consumer/patient journey related information to ensure we deliver relevant and credible digital health solutions. The team works closely together with Data science to analyze data collected from Digital Health initiatives. Business and health data are collected to deliver impact. Data is also used by the team to build new technologies and/or retrain current model or technologies.
Final project description is by mutual agreement and dependent on start date.
As an intern with the Danone Digital Health team, you’ll be at the forefront of scouting and developing innovative services and technologies. You will help to make advanced laboratory measurements affordable and accessible for people at home. You’ll work on exciting projects such as:
· Developing innovative methods for measuring anthropometric data.
· Creating digital solutions for monitoring frailty in patients.
· Designing services to assess muscle quality, quantity, and function.
We deliver these solutions to people everywhere in the world, ensuring global accessibility and impact. These are just a few examples of the impactful work you can be involved in with our Digital Health team.
As a Digital Health Innovation intern, data analysis and innovation will be second nature to you. You can work both as part of a team and independently, and are internationally-oriented. On top of that? You’re a creative person who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.
There are also some compulsory requirements:
· Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student enrolled in Biotechnology, AI, Biomedicinal engineering, Bioinformatics, or related studies during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
· Ideally available to start in January for a minimum of 5 months, 4-5 days per week;
· You are fluent in English - spoken and written; Dutch is considered as a plus;
· You are able to work from Utrecht, at least 2 times per week;
· Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

As a Digital Health Innovation intern, you will learn to identify and evaluate innovative digital health technologies and services, develop and implement at-home measurement tools, and have the opportunity to contribute to projects that measure muscle quality, quantity and function. We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
