The Global Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Packaging Director is accountable for defining and deploying the global Supplier Quality Management strategy for Packaging , including primary, secondary, and upstream packaging, across all Danone regions and categories.

The role ensures the safety, quality, compliance, and resilience of packaging suppliers , positioning supplier quality as a strategic business lever supporting growth, innovation, sustainability, and cost competitiveness.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategy & Governance

·  Define and implement the global Packaging Supplier Quality strategy aligned with Danone priorities.
·  Act as the single global authority for Packaging Supplier Quality governance.
·  Drive simplified, empowered decision-making and global alignment across regions.

 

Supplier Lifecycle & Risk Management

·  Ensure global adoption of Supplier Lifecycle Management (LCM) standards.
·  Deploy risk-based supplier segmentation and oversight models.
·  Oversee supplier scouting, qualification, onboarding, and re‑qualification.
·  Embed predictive KPIs to anticipate supplier risks (quality, compliance, continuity).

 

Supplier Performance & Business Impact

·  Monitor and steer supplier performance to support:
·  Business continuity and dual sourcing strategies
·  Supplier selection and award decisions
·  Reduction of supplier driven noncompliance and complaints
·  Support tenders and global projects ensuring right first-time mindset & onboarding.

Organization & Capability Building

·  Lead and develop a global team of Packaging SQM subject matter experts.
·  Create and animate the global Packaging SQM community , beyond direct reports.
·  Upskill the organization from technical expertise to business-oriented leadership .
·  Drive succession planning and long-term capability development.

Digitalization & Ways of Working

·  Promote data driven decision-making and digital SQM tools.
·  Ensure a consistent One Danone way of working with suppliers globally.

 

Key Deliverables

·  Global Packaging SQM strategy and roadmap
·  Risk based supplier performance and monitoring framework
·  High performing, future ready SQM Packaging organization
·  Tangible reduction of supplier related quality and compliance risks

About you

Profile & Leadership Expectations

·  Proven senior leadership experience in Supplier Quality, QFS, or equivalent
·  Experienced working in an equally complex organisation, with multi layered influencing and stakeholder management
·  Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
·  Recognized expertise in QFS systems and supplier risk management
·  Courageous, servant leadership style with strong influencing skills
·  Excellent communication and data driven decision-making capability
