About the Job

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our team to design and develop data-driven solutions and deliver insights that support Danone Benelux. You will be responsible for the entire data science lifecycle, from data acquisition and data processing to advanced analytics, modeling, and deploying machine learning models into production.

 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts, to understand business problems and translate them into data science solutions. You will leverage your expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques to extract valuable insights from complex and diverse data sources. Develop key dashboards and visualize frameworks for the leadership teams.

Responsibilities:

·  Lead data science projects by developing and applying data-driven solutions to deliver insights for high-priority commercial analytics business questions.
·  Data wrangling including data cleansing, transformation, data sources integration, pipeline building, and process automation.
·  Design and implement advanced analytical models, machine learning and data products, tools, and techniques to deliver insights and enhance existing processes.
·  Architect, design, and develop scalable, interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, Datorama, and Looker that are intuitive and meet established UI/UX objectives.
·  Develop and deploy models on customer data platforms and build up the robustness of the platform with audience and segmentation logic.
·  Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (data engineering, product owners, business stakeholders) to understand data requirements, translate data into actionable insights, and deliver impactful results.
·  Ensure the quality, integrity, and accuracy of data used in all analytics projects by implementing data governance standards and best practices.
·  Communicate complex analytical findings and insights to a diverse audience (technical and non-technical stakeholders) through compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations.
·  Continuously monitor and evaluate deployed models, making improvements as necessary to optimize performance and ensure they deliver maximum value.

Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a Master's or Ph.D. highly preferred.
·  3+ years of experience in data science or a related role , with a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
·  Proficiency in Python and SQL , experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
·  Ability to create compelling data visualizations and reports using tools like Power BI , Datorama, and Looker.
·  Experience applying statistical methods and experimental design principles to real-world business problems.
·  Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and understandable language for all levels within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Relevant data and process experience from Consumer Goods, Banking, Telecom or IT Consulting industries.
·  Experience with cloud platforms and cloud data services (Azure, Databricks, Informatica, Snowflake, BigQuery) Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) and familiarity with model deployment and monitoring practices.
·  Familiarity with big data technologies and experience working with large-scale data processing environments.
·  Knowledge of specific industry data sources and structures (Nielsen, IQVIA, and similar).
·  Certification in data science, machine learning, or cloud computing (Azure, Databricks).
·  Project management and experience with version control tools (Git, Confluence, Asana).
