Job Title Sustainability Manager (Net Zero and CSRD Reporting) 

Location: CHANEL Head office, London

Reports to: Head of Sustainability, UK

Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Your role @CHANEL:

The UK Region plays a pivotal role in delivering on CHANEL’s House Sustainability Ambitions. Transforming our business and leaving a lasting positive impact on people and planet. The Sustainability Manager will support the Head of Sustainability UK to delivery CHANEL’s House Sustainability Ambitions at a market level. This role will focus on two key areas; Supporting UK, Ireland and Canadian teams to deliver on their Net Zero objectives and supporting the development of sustainability data governance and insight across the region. This role will report directly to the Head of Sustainability, UK.

Key focus areas for this role include:   

Support the design and delivery of CHANEL UK’s Net Zero and Circular economy roadmap:

·  Support the Head of Sustainability UK to develop long term Net Zero and Circularity goals across the region.
·  Work with cross functional teams to identify opportunities to decarbonize UK Region operations.
·  Empower individuals and teams to deliver Net Zero projects by providing insight, measurement tools, training, and support.   
·  Create and deliver climate and circularity training, upskilling employees and embedding sustainability into departmental business as usual activities.  
·  Work with the UK Region’s Non-financial reporting manager to establish data collection processes to track progress towards Net Zero across the region.

Support the delivery of CSRD for the UK region, with a focus on environmental and social (value chain) reporting:

·  Work with CHANEL global sustainability performance teams to understand the qualitative and quantitative data points the UK Region is required to report on.
·  Translate CHANEL’s global CSRD environmental and social reporting requirements into a reporting and governance roadmap for the UK Region.
·  Work with the UK region non-financial reporting manager, to design and deliver a CSRD data governance strategy, working cross functionally to ensure we have the processes and systems in place to efficiently collect, analyse and report to global teams.
·  Represent the UK Region in global project meetings supporting the delivery of worldwide CSRD reporting.
·  Beyond reporting, create insights from the UK Region data to inform and steer the wider UK Sustainability strategy.

What you will bring to the role:

·  Professional working experience in ESG / Sustainability 
·  Knowledge in Carbon accounting and Net Zero delivery  
·  Knowledge of ESG Reporting Standards  
·  Strong interpersonal effectiveness, positivity, and passion for result/achievement. 
·  Highly self-motivated and directed.
