Chanel are now recruiting a Solicitor to join the ANZ business. As Legal Counsel you will serve as the primary legal advisor for the market, providing strategic and operational legal support to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL
The Legal Counsel will Serve as a vital member of the ANZ Executive Leadership Committee, contributing to the strategic direction and decision-making processes of CHANEL.
You will deliver comprehensive legal guidance across employment law, business expansion and development projects, whilst also addressing the complexities arising from digital transformation and e-commerce initiatives, ensuring compliance with local laws and effective enterprise risk management practices.
The Legal Counsel will play a crucial role in protecting Chanel’s brand, managing legal risks, and supporting business growth and expansion efforts. By collaborating with business leaders, and legal teams, the Legal Counsel will drive legal excellence and contribute to the overall success and sustainability of Chanel’s operations in ANZ.

Collaborating closely with business divisions to provide legal support and advice for various projects, including Employment Law, Indirect Procurement, Renewable Energy, Retail Expansion, and Digital Transformation Initiatives
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
·
Admission (or eligibility to be admitted) to practice as a Solicitor in New South Wales
·
Bachelor of Laws/Juris Doctor Degree
·
10 or more years commercial experience post qualification, with in-house exposure preferred.
·
Previous experience working in a matrix organization at Regional and Local senior management level and within a Regional and Local Legal team
·
The ability and desire to partner with the business combined with excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.

Agility, commercial curiosity and a high level of business acumen.

Strong leadership attributes to lead change in the business, yourself and others in a modern and effective way.
·
Entrepreneurial mindset combined with drive and motivation to look at the big picture while considering the small details.
