Job description

Title: Business Intelligence Intern

Reports to: Director, Core System & DWH

Internship duration: 6 months to 1 year. Start date between Feb to Jun 2020

Context / background

CHANEL GK IT is embarking on a journey to transform its operating model and the information system architecture, shifting towards a model leveraging global capabilities and local expertise.

Combined with a transformation of the Digital organization on the business side, CGK IT is also aiming at simplifying and strengthening its business intelligence capabilities in order to better support and drive business decisions while providing modern, mobile oriented, “Best-in-class” BI solutions to Japan users (HQ, stores).

Summary of position

The Business Intelligence intern is to work closely with the following stakeholders: local and Global BI experts, local business Key users of Chanel 3 divisions, Top management (occasionally)

His/her scope of intervention will cover from business needs gathering, reports development and/or testing, up to user training and after launch follow-up.

His/her main mission will be to leverage Global BI tool (Power BI) in order to ensure a progressive and successful modernization of the activity and practices in Japan.

Missions

Develop knowledge on existing reporting landscape

·  Understand the scope of data covered in both Local and Global reporting solutions, along with the strengths and weaknesses of each of them

Promote Power BI usage

·  Skill-up on Power BI in order to:
·  Migrate some of the existing reports to Power BI
·  Lead and support development of new reports for Japan key users and Top Management

Be a strong business partner and main point of contact for Power BI

·  Work closely with Key users in order to identify their open issues as well as new reporting needs
·  Work closely with Global BI team in order to provide answers to Key user, follow-up on going actions, and specify new local requirements
·  Support change management

Qualifications

·  Good interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution, facilitation
·  Good verbal and written communication skills (fluent English mandatory, Japanese JLPT N3)
·  Self-starter: takes direction and self-motivated to work autonomously
·  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
·  Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
·  Willingness to develop projects and collaborate with stakeholders inside the organization
·  Knowledge of Power BI is a strong plus

Requirements

·  University or Graduate School student
·  Internship Visa (Designated Activities Visa); your University or Graduate School needs to prove that the internship represents a mandatory of your academic curriculum, and to guarantee that the intern can get the internship accredited.
·  French being an advantage to work with BI support teams
