Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Cybersecurity Advisor is responsible for key functions within the Security and Fraud Management team at the Pay Services Centre (PSC), including third-party security management, participation in physical security, and vulnerability management. They also support other functions such as application vulnerability scans, security indicators, and identity management.

The PSC is a leading player in payroll processing for numerous clients across Canada. We play a key role in the Canadian economy, making cybersecurity and fraud management critically important areas. Working in the PSC’s Security and Fraud Management team also offers the opportunity to explore various domains and grow in cybersecurity expertise. This position reports directly to the Director responsible for Security and Fraud Management at the PSC.

This role is open to intermediate and experienced profiles. For experienced candidates, the position will be classified as Senior Advisor.

This role requires autonomy, solid knowledge in cybersecurity and fraud management, and the ability to learn new skills. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with other teams are also essential.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vulnerability Management
- Third-Party Security
- Participation in Physical Security
- Support for Certain Security Functions

Vulnerability Management
- Coordinate and follow up on the remediation of network, infrastructure, and application vulnerabilities identified through various means: vulnerability scans, audits, penetration tests, code reviews
- Lead vulnerability follow-up workshops with IT, infrastructure, and corporate teams
- Recommend and validate vulnerability remediation approaches
- Maintain vulnerability dashboards

Third-Party Security
- Maintain the list of PSC’s partners and vendors (third parties)
- Coordinate third-party security assessments with CGI Corporate
- Identify additional clauses and requirements beyond corporate standards that PSC must implement with certain third parties
- In the event of a security incident, coordinate communication with third parties

Participation in Physical Security
- While physical security and facility management are handled by another person, the advisor must provide expertise and support in the event of incidents
- Conduct regular “clean desk” reviews
- Observe and suggest improvements during evacuation drills or other physical security exercises
- Participate in various physical security-related initiatives

Support for Certain Security Functions
- Participate in application security testing by conducting vulnerability scans using specialized tools
- Regularly review access rights, including high-privilege accounts
- Help build security dashboards, especially in their areas of responsibility
- Support project teams in implementing security measures (advice, security testing, etc.)

The advisor may also be involved in or lead any related tasks assigned by their manager.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Degree in risk management, cybersecurity, computer science, or related fields
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in risk management or cybersecurity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, senior management, and operational teams
- Leadership skills to successfully lead projects involving multiple teams
- Autonomy and strong organizational skills
- Fluent in French (written and spoken) — functional English required
- Ability to work under pressure in a critical environment
- Aptitude for anticipating risks and proposing concrete solutions
- Strong team collaboration skills

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
