Position Description:
CGI is looking for a strong QA Testing Lead to join our Team in Richmond, VA. This role will manage several testers (manual and automation) in support of a Child Support system modernization effort and will be working and interacting with a team of people in both onsite and offsite locations to test the overall solution. Experience in analysis and various types of testing is required. Managing testing team's deliverables in a tight deadline with exposure to Agile Sprints is a must. Experience with State Health & Human Services or Child Support domain is preferred. Experience in salesforce Copado is a plus.
Richmond, VA is preferred, but this role can be done anywhere within the US.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
•Develop test plans and approaches for various types of testing such as but not limited to system testing, smoke testing, regression testing, security/roles testing, accessibility testing, automation testing, load testing and performance testing
•Manage a team of both manual and automation testing team members to successfully script, test, log defects and retest the defects by adhering to the established project schedule for each sprint and making sure the team follows consistent processes and procedures
•Manage the client's expectations and contractual expectations around the testing activities and traceability of test cases to the requirements
•Manage the testing efforts to make sure all the federal and state requirements are met
•Provide clear and detailed reporting on the testing activities around progress, challenges, pass rate, fail rate, defects etc.
•Manage the testing team workload, coverage and burndown plan
•Provide executive leadership with the testing team's progress
•Coordinate with the functional and technical team to successfully prepare for different types of testing
•As needed, support the testing team in providing guidance around complex test scenarios development, test script reviews, testing and acceptance
•Create and manage the defects triaging process to make sure the defects are properly categorized and prioritized
•Provide support to the client testing team during their execution of test cases
•Develop and coordinate the testing expectations and procedures around interfaces files testing and batch processes executions needed for the test execution
•Develop and manage test data governance approach when multiple users are testing the application in the same environment
•Ensure a positive working relationship environment across all the testing teams
•Participate in stand-up meetings and other required meetings, such as test planning, retrospective, and testing status meetings as needed
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
•Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
•5 or more years of experience in testing information technology systems.
•Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
•Knowledge and experience with testing tools; including test management and automated testing tools. Experience with Application Lifecycle Management/ is preferred.
•Experience in creating staffing plans, managing test plans and test scripts.
•Experience in identifying and creating test data for specific scenarios. .
•Experience in performing test scripts and reviewing actual versus expected results. Experience in documenting test results and defects.
•Experience in generating and analyzing quality metrics and trends.
•Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to a structured QA testing process. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
•Proficiency with office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Visual Basic preferred).
•Some familiarity with SQL, Java and ETL tools (resource will not be coding but may be expected to quickly learn how to use tools to retrieve and view data).
•Ability to meet tight deadlines while meeting quality requirements.
•Ability to work in a team environment.
•Ability to communicate clearly with stake holders, PMO team, business analysts, developers, and other testing team members.
•Ability to produce clear and concise documentation at the detail and summary level.
•Must be an independent worker and be able to prioritize own work activities with minimal guidance and coaching.
•Ability to provide precise testing metrics, articulate Risks
•Experience in child support or state health and human services domain
•Experience in Salesforce Copado
•Experience in managing partners to deliver in tight deadlines (QA team lead experience a must)
Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $208,300.00.
