Position Description:

For a global leader in digital payments, we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring high software quality through the development and maintenance of automated tests, as well as actively supporting the testing process within a Scrum team.

The role is hybrid , with 2–3 days working from the office in Warsaw.

Job responsibilities:
• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests (UI, API, integration, regression).
• Creating and enhancing test frameworks and integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring test stability, analyzing results, and reporting defects.
• Designing and executing manual tests (functional and exploratory).
• Preparing test cases and verifying changes delivered in sprints.
• Collaborating with the Scrum team and participating in ceremonies (planning, refinement, daily, review, retro).
• Contributing to quality practices (DoD/DoR) and identifying risks along with mitigation actions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• At least 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Test Automation Engineer.
• Practical knowledge of Java.
• Experience with automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, Postman/Newman).
• Familiarity with CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins).
• Experience in creating test cases and working with Jira (Xray/Zephyr).
• Good knowledge of Git.
• Understanding of testing techniques and ISTQB fundamentals.
• Ability to work in a Scrum team and strong communication skills.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and quality.

Nice to have:
• Knowledge of Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in performance testing.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of BDD, shift-left approach, or contract testing.
