Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer specializing in Palantir Foundry to join a large-scale enterprise data and analytics transformation program. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data products and pipelines within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem. Working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, analytics teams, and technology partners, this individual will help deliver scalable, reliable, and business-driven data solutions that support operational excellence and data-driven decision-making. This position is ideal for a professional who combines strong data engineering expertise with hands-on Palantir Foundry experience and a deep understanding of enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Solution Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines within the Palantir Foundry platform.
- Build and manage data transformations, data models, Ontology objects, and business-ready datasets.
- Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems, including ERP, operational, cloud, and third-party platforms.
- Develop reusable and maintainable data products aligned with enterprise standards.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and traceability across the data ecosystem.
- Optimize data processing performance and platform utilization.
Palantir Foundry Development
- Configure and develop solutions leveraging Foundry's core capabilities
- Support the implementation of Foundry best practices and development standards.
- Participate in platform enhancements and adoption initiatives.
- Collaborate with architects to define scalable Foundry solution patterns.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Scientists, Product Owners, and Business Analysts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to delivery planning activities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members when required.
Data Governance & Quality
- Implement data quality controls and validation processes.
- Support data governance initiatives and compliance requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge-sharing artifacts.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security and data management policies.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience working with Palantir Foundry.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.
- Experience working in cloud-based and distributed data environments.
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise applications and operational systems.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Technical Skills
- Palantir Foundry > Strong experience with: Foundry Data Pipelines, Ontology Design and Management, Code Repositories, Workshop Applications, Data Lineage, Data Integration Frameworks, Operational Applications, Pipeline Builder, Foundry Security and Access Controls
- Data Engineering : Python, SQL, Spark / PySpark, ETL / ELT Development, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing Concepts, API Integrations, Git-based development practices
- Cloud & Modern Data Platforms > Experience with one or more: Microsoft Azure. AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of: Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake, Data Lake architectures is considered an asset.
