Technical/Store Support Technician (Retail/POS Experience)

Position Description
Are you motivated by providing excellent customer supporting a dynamic and diverse retail environment? If so, we are looking for a talented individual who is a self-starter that is looking for a challenge supporting our client’s point of sale and media environment.

Along with your technical skills for diagnosis and support of the retail environment, you will also be responsible for producing client reports, ticket trend analysis, and team metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

With your up to date skills in the use of Microsoft reporting tools, plus your ability to provide creative solutions to challenging issues, this will enable you to provide superior support to our client to ensure continued success.Work Location: Mississauga Your future duties and responsibilities
As part of the Global Technology Operations Canada, End User Services team. The member will be responsible for the set up and support of POS desktop and laptop equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Imaging, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading various types of PC equipment.

• Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion.

• Provide end-user assistance where required.

• Project work for new and existing deployments.

• Inventory Management

• Store Build Process Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Technical Knowledge of:

• Windows 7, Windows 10, (Mac OS X is an asset)

• Antivirus

• MS Office Professional Suites 2010 / 2013 / 2016

• SharePoint 2016 (is an asset)

• Database – SQL / Oracle

• Knowledge of Computer hardware

• Knowledge of networking principles

• Ticketing system (ITSP / ITSM is an asset)
Soft skills:

• Customer service oriented

• Professional appearance since this is a client facing role

• Self-starter, ability to work independently

• Must be able to meet scheduled deliverables

• Team player

• Dynamic & Resourceful
Education and Experience:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or equivalent in work experience
• 3-4 years of related experience ideally within a Retail context, providing retail store support

Bilingual

The Store Support Technician is part of the GTO Canada End User Services team.
