Position: Senior Systems Engineer/Lead Analyst

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Job Description:

• Required intermediate to advanced level RedHat Linux/Unix systems administration activities
• Install and configure servers and other application components.
• Installs related program products and support tools
• Install operating system patches as supplied by the OEM in coordination with database administrator and the applications support staff.
• Virtualization - ie VMware, Solaris LDOM, Zones,
• Support automate processes and maintain the application and OS environments.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Able to Manage the cloud-based IT infrastructure.
• Sound knowledge on IAAS is preferable.

Required Skillset:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Oracle LINUX/UNIX, and system software installation, customization, and support.
• Experience working with Solaris 1011 and x86 servers running Oracle Enterprise Linux/RHEL and Ubuntu
• Installation, Administration Troubleshooting and Maintenance of Solaris (8,9,10,11) Operating systems
• Creating Users, Groups locally and centrally in NIS and LDAP servers and working user security settings, home directories and password administering in Solaris,and Linux.
• Experience with Linux mail servers running Sendmail/Postfix
• Working and troubleshooting in Sun Cluster issues
• Experience with Storage and backup technologies
• Experience with Virtualization Technologies ( VMware, Solaris LDOM and/or Zones
• Candidate willing to join soon are required.

Preferred Skillset:

• Experience with Solaris LDOM infrastructure desired
• Experience with Oracle Hardware family (x86, SPARC, and Storage)
• Experience with Apache Web Servers, Solaris, Linux patch management and patch management Business Continuity in Unix environment
• General understanding of relational databases (schemas, metadata, relationships, procedures, functions, and triggers)
• Experience with PERL, shell scripting.

Additional Skillset:
• Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu, RedHat Linux,Solaris )
• Backup and Recovery tools .
• Volume management (VxVM, LVM, ZFS, SVM)
• Hardware Software Virtualization skills
• Clustering (VCS, Solaris Cluster)
• Shell scripting
• Basic Networking skills (LAN,WAN,IP routing protocols)

• Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements
• Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written)
• Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams
• Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services

• Willingness to engage with and work in other technologies
