Senior / Intermediate Business Analyst - Capital Markets & Wealth Management

Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join an Agile delivery environment supporting initiatives within the Capital Markets and Wealth Management space. The successful candidate will bring strong business analysis capabilities, experience working within Agile teams, and the ability to translate business needs and larger initiatives into clear, actionable user stories.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to understand and document business needs and requirements.
• Break down epics and business requirements into clear, actionable user stories.
• Develop acceptance criteria and support the refinement of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, processes, and expected outcomes.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Participate in PI Planning and contribute to planning and prioritization activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure requirements are understood and aligned with business objectives.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, exceptions, and business rules that may impact delivery.
• Support the team throughout implementation, testing, and validation of business requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 6 to 10 years of professional Business Analysis experience supporting business and technology initiatives.
• At least 3 years of experience working within an Agile delivery environment and participating in standard Agile ceremonies.
• Experience breaking down epics and business requirements into clear, well-structured user stories.
• Experience developing acceptance criteria, documenting business rules, and identifying exception scenarios.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating requirements discussions and working sessions to clarify business needs and support solution delivery.
• Experience supporting backlog refinement and working with delivery teams to clarify requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Experience participating in PI Planning and supporting planning, prioritization, and dependency discussions.
• Previous experience working on initiatives within Capital Markets and/or Wealth Management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Assets

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or familiarity with AWS environments.
• Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for Government of Canada Reliability Status security screening, including providing verifiable background information for the required screening period

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000–$125,000. This role is a future opportunity.
