CGI is looking for a Programme Manager to embark on a transformational programme to deliver OpenSea360 – a fully integrated software and hardware solution that will be rolled out across more than 400 boats over a 10-year period. This is a mission-critical programme, enhancing the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of client operations.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Programme Manager will have end-to-end accountability for the delivery, governance, support, and commercial success of the OpenSea360 programme. They will oversee the full lifecycle – from planning and mobilisation, through execution, rollout, and sustainment – ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and meets operational requirements.
• Own full accountability for delivery, support, profit and loss (P&L), and performance of the 10-year contract.
• Establish and lead programme governance structures, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Direct and coordinate multiple workstreams, including engineering delivery, software development, testing, logistics, training, and support.
• Ensure risks, dependencies, and issues are proactively managed, with mitigation strategies in place.
• Oversee integration of hardware and software solutions, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, contracts, and commercial negotiations.
• Develop and lead a high-performing programme team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, operational crews, and technical teams to ensure adoption and successful rollout.
• Deliver measurable benefits and continuous improvement throughout the 10-year lifecycle.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Required Skills
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, high-value (£30M+) programmes involving complex technology integration.
• Experience managing long-term contracts with full P&L responsibility.
• Strong background in delivering programmes combining software and hardware solutions.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at executive and board level.
• Exceptional programme governance, planning, and financial management expertise reporting to key internal stakeholders.
• Strong supplier/vendor management and commercial negotiation experience.
Desired Skills
• Formal programme/project management qualifications (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, PMI, APM).
• Understanding of maritime, land vehicle, defence, aerospace, or mission-critical systems
• Proven Supplier Management experience
