Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position, so you will be expected to travel into CGI offices or to client sites 2-3 days per week on average.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead the service management elements of complex bids, designing compelling, commercially aligned service solutions that help CGI secure new and existing client opportunities. You’ll combine your understanding of ITSM best practice with a consultative, pre-sales approach—working with delivery teams, sales, and subject matter experts to define high-value service offerings.
You’ll be part of CGI’s Solution Architecture and Sales (SAaS) team, influencing the evolution of our service management capabilities and ensuring our solutions are both innovative and deliverable. Supported by a collaborative network of architects and consultants, you’ll play a key role in maintaining CGI’s reputation for service excellence.
Lead & Design: Own the service management components of large, complex bids—creating competitive, high-quality service proposals.
Collaborate & Consult: Partner with delivery teams, ensuring service designs align with capability, scope, and delivery feasibility.
Present & Influence: Engage confidently with clients to shape requirements, negotiate service levels, and articulate value.
Innovate & Develop: Contribute to the evolution of CGI’s ITSM and SIAM service propositions, reflecting modern, agile, and automated practices.
Document & Transition: Produce Service Design Packages and ensure seamless handover to delivery and transition teams.
Mentor & Inspire: Guide junior colleagues, review their work, and share best practices across the team.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
You should bring a strong understanding of IT Service Management and the pre-sales process, with proven experience designing service solutions within an ITIL or SIAM environment. You’ll combine technical awareness with commercial acumen and the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Essential:
Deep understanding of service management frameworks, including ITIL and SIAM
Proven experience across the full Service Management Lifecycle
Ability to produce high-quality written deliverables (e.g. proposals, processes, service models)
Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
Commercial awareness, including costing, risk assessment, and service credit modelling
Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy
Certification: ITIL Expert / Managing Professional or demonstrable progress toward certification
Desirable:
SIAM Foundation / Professional and/or Agile Service Manager certifications
Experience across End User Services, Application Support, or other IT delivery domains
Exposure to cloud service management and automation approaches
