Position: Senior Systems Engineer

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Job Description:
• Architecture & Design
o Design and implement advanced Azure solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
o Perform capacity planning and cost optimization for large-scale environments.
o Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Administration & Operations
o Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and governance policies.
o Configure and maintain Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Azure AD.
o Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
• Security & Compliance
o Configure identity and access management (RBAC, Conditional Access).
o Implement security best practices using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, and encryption standards.
o Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (ISO, GDPR, etc.).
• Monitoring & Optimization
o Use tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for proactive monitoring.
o Troubleshoot critical issues and resolve escalations from L1/L2 teams.
o Optimize performance and cost through resource tuning and automation.
• Collaboration & Leadership
o Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
o Work closely with DevOps, Networking, and Security teams for seamless integration.
o Document processes and maintain operational runbooks.

Required Skills
• Deep understanding of Azure architecture and services.
• Expertise in Azure Resource Manager, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• Strong knowledge of Networking (VNETs, NSGs, Route Tables) and Hybrid Cloud setups.
• Hands-on experience with AKS, App Services, Storage Accounts, and Key Vaults.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Shell).

Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications:
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
o Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
• Experience with DevOps pipelines, IaC, and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with cost management and FinOps practices.

Soft Skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Behavioural Competencies :
Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements
Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written)
Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams
Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services

Willingness to engage with and work in other technologies
