Junior Tester

Position Description:

We are looking for Junior Tester to strengthen current project team. The project is delivering Fraud Detection solution for our customers, big financial companies. Majority of the team is located in Prague, Czech Republic.
The platform builds on micro-services architecture and asynchronous communication patterns and is meant to be highly scalable and robust while utilizing open-source technology stack.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Test new functionalities for our growing solution
Ensure quality by regression testing
Responsible for deliveries within integration team according to the project plan
Close cooperation with Project Manager and Solution Architect and other Team Leaders
Collaborate effectively with various departments, teams and staff across the organization
Context-driven testing
Thoroughness is important, but repeatedly executing the same prepared steps in the same way is not enough. To uncover key information about the software, we ask about its purpose, business logic, situational as well as broader context — and based on that, we choose the most relevant and effective testing approach (from the many possible in complex systems). We then present and defend the resulting approach to the team and the client. Where effective, we leverage automation and AI agents.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Essential Qualifications:
Basic experience with software testing
Tester mindset – curiosity, ability to perform exploratory testing, attention to detail as well as the big picture
Critical thinking and an interest in understanding the broader context
Interest in IT and general awareness of IT topics
Effective communication with others
English at B2+ level
It would be an advantage to have:
Experience in a similar position
Experience with HTML, databases, SQL and API formats testing
Experience in the financial sector
Experience with Atlassian Jira
