Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst/Tester to join a cross-functional Agile team operating within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment. This dual-role position is responsible for both capturing business requirements and ensuring the quality of delivered solutions through comprehensive testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence to support Agile collaboration and documentation.
This position is located in our Baltimore, MD, Fairfax, VA, Lafayette, LA or Lebanon, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and Agile team members to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
. Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
. Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities.
. Participate in PI (Program Increment) Planning and other SAFe ceremonies.
. Maintain documentation and knowledge sharing using Confluence.
Testing / Quality Assurance:
. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on user stories and requirements.
. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
. Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA; collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
. Validate that delivered features meet business and quality expectations.
. Support test automation initiatives where applicable.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 1–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, QA Tester, or similar role in Agile environments.
. Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe principles.
. Proficiency with JIRA for backlog management and defect tracking.
. Experience using Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
. Skilled in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
. SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Practitioner or SAFe Agilist).
. Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Cucumber).
. Background in government, healthcare, or enterprise IT systems.
. ISTQB or similar QA certification.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $50,800.00 - $108,300.00.
