Position Description:
CGI is actively seeking a IT Developer to support a Government Customer with custom application development. This position will be responsible for IRM&TS management as directed, the IT Developer Support will provide technical support and expertise to ensure the efficient development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. This role involves collaborating with development teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing solutions to optimize application performance.
This position is located in our Washington, DC office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
•Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
•Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
•Install/upgrade software products as required
•Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company web site and/or related web applications as necessary
•Provisioning development environments (local, virtual, or cloud-based)
•Design, deploy, and maintaining deployment scripts and artifact repositories
•Automating routine tasks (e.g., code formatting, testing, linting)
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
•Strong skills developing application and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Java Script, jQuery, Node.js and CSS.
•Strong experience with Cloud AWS, SQL, GitHub Enterprise.
•Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
•Developing and maintaining web services.
•Experience designing and maintaining user interfaces (UI) with HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
•Experience developing and maintaining data in relational databases; heavy SQL experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, performance tuning is required.
•Proficiency in building web applications using ASP.NET Core, including experience with MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture.
•Experience in developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API.
•Understanding of ASP.NET Core middleware and the ability to implement custom middleware.
•Knowledge of dependency injection principles and practices in ASP.NET Core.
•Familiarity with ASP.NET Core security features, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
•Proficiency in using Razor syntax for dynamic content generation in views.
•Proficiency in using jQuery for DOM traversal and manipulation.
•Experience with jQuery event handling for creating interactive user interfaces.
•Expertise in making asynchronous HTTP requests using jQuery’s AJAX methods, and in integrating and customizing jQuery plugins for various functionalities.
•Experience in developing responsive web applications using Bootstrap.
•Proficiency in using Bootstrap’s grid system for layout design.
•Knowledge of Bootstrap components (modals, carousels, navbars, etc.) and customization techniques. Ability to customize Bootstrap themes using CSS and SASS.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
•Experience with MVC, WCF and Web APIs.
•Experience working with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, Node.JS, Chart.js, Bootstrap, UI Ajax.
•Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $190,900.00.
