Position Description:
As part of the ITAM Shared Services team, you will play a crucial role to ensure benefits acquired via the ITAM program are being maintained on ongoing basis by executing a subset of tasks and activities that the ITAM & Compliance and SBU/BU teams would typically complete.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
At a high level, your function is to:
o Understand the global CGI technology landscape, and each local SBU landscape, at a device level and a Solution level
o Analyze data issues to determine potential root causes of data deficiencies, globally and by SBU/BU.
o Identify & Communicate to SBU’s, in a timely manner, results of analysis with a view to address incomplete, inconsistent or questionable data attributes, and identify objects that require local remediation
o Where possible, reach out directly to Solution owners and Solution managers to address identified issue
o Collect & Update data in ITAM/FNMS to ensure all deficient attributes are addressed and up to date, ensuring CGI’s technical footprint is accurate and properly represented at all times
o Validate FNMS/ITAM to ensure remediated data is present when remediation action resides within the SBU
o Act on behalf of SBU ITAM Lead to raise incidents, engage DevOps when necessary, consult local CMDB’s for data cross-validation, etc.
o Evolve service to meet expanding needs of the ITAM & Compliance Team, transitioning tasks from each ITAM & Compliance project, thereby ensuring an operational process is followed as vendors are onboarded and as functionalities evolve within the toolset
• Report devices that fall outside the Ops KPIs and follow-up with CGI SBUs on a remediation plan:
o Provide on a timely manner non-compliance reports to the ITAM SBU/BU Leaders and assist them in the creation of a remediation plan with target dates (E.g.: Active devices that stopped reporting to FNMS, Active Orphaned VMs, Active devices with No barcode deployed, Active devices with unreachable oracle database instances, …)
o Track and follow-up on a weekly basis the progress status of the remediation actions and escalate to executive management when required
• Support the CGI SBUs in executing the remediation plan and validate the successful completion of the actions:
o Collect & Update data in FNMS to ensure all deficient attributes are addressed and up to date
o Identify the ownership of the unknown non-barcoded devices, update their cost centers, and ensure barcoding is underway
o Preform the decommission / recommission of devices in Flexera
o Upload and link manually the devices with unsupported technologies in Flexera
o When requested, engage the DevOps team on behalf of the ITAM SBU/BU leaders to investigation and address the Flexera issues
o Where possible, reach out directly to the solution owners and managers on behalf of the ITAM SBU/BU leaders to address the identified issues
o Where possible, consult the local CMDB’s for data cross-validation and try to identify, on behalf of the ITAM SBU/BU leaders, the incomplete, inconsistent or questionable data
o When requested, guide the ITAM SBU / BU Leaders to customize specific reports in Flexera
• Track the evolution of the trends and metrics over time:
o Refresh the analysis tools and SBUs follow-up files data
o Track on a weekly basis the evolution of the trends and metrics and alert the ITAM SBU/BU leaders when abnormal situations are detected (High fluctuation on the volumes of non-compliant devices)
o Present during the governance meetings with the SBUs the evolution of the trends and metrics over time, to measure the efficiency of the performed remediation actions
• Perform the ELP refresh:
o Support the ITAM & Compliance team in Canada in the alignment of devices’ status and business attributes between FNMS and ELP Tool
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Essential:
• Fundamental understanding of license management
• Communication skills
• Clear and fluent English and French (both verbal and written)
• Excellent analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Confidence and professionalism
Desirable:
• ITIL foundation (minimum)
• Flexera (will be considered an asset) – training will be provided
• Performance Improvement
