Position Description:
CGI is looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, Node.js, and modern frontend engineering.
You’ll work on large-scale digital applications, building intuitive, scalable, and high-performing customer experiences. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with modern technologies, and delivering high-quality software in a collaborative environment.
These are Full-Time, On-Site Employment opportunities based in our Plano TX and Cary NC offices.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design and develop modern web applications using Angular 22, TypeScript, RxJS, and Redux/NgRx
• Build scalable and reusable frontend components and application features
• Develop applications using micro-frontend architecture patterns
• Build and integrate frontend applications with Node.js, NestJS, APIs, and microservices
• Develop automated tests using Cypress, Playwright, Jest, and Storybook
• Apply test-first development practices to deliver clean, reliable, and maintainable code
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Apply modern deployment practices including A/B testing, feature toggles, and blue-green deployments
• Use Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Contribute reusable solutions, engineering improvements, and technical knowledge to the broader team
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 6–9 years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong experience with Angular 22, TypeScript, RxJS, and Redux/NgRx
• Experience developing modern, responsive, and user-focused web applications
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture patterns
• Experience developing applications using Node.js and NestJS
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and microservices
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, and/or Storybook
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
• Experience with test-first development and automated testing
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Ability to write clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite
Education: Bachelors in computer science or closely related field
Good to Have
• Experience with Generative AI tooling and AI-assisted development workflows
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into software engineering processes
• Experience with A/B testing, feature toggles, and blue-green deployment strategies
• Understanding of highly scalable and distributed application architectures
• Experience building reusable frontend components, frameworks, or shared libraries
• Experience improving developer productivity through automation and engineering tooling
• Experience working in Agile, iterative, and fast-paced engineering environments
• Experience in Financial Services or other highly regulated industries

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $87,600.00 $153,300.00.
